Accessibility
A lot of the people I work with are autistic or neurodivergent. This site is built for that, not adapted to it afterwards.
Nothing moves unless you do
The site never animates on its own. There are no timers, nothing that loops, nothing that follows your pointer, and no video that plays by itself. What movement there is happens only in response to your scrolling, and the words never move at all.
Two controls, in the footer of every page
Animation turns off all movement. It follows your device setting to begin with, so if you have already asked for reduced motion, the site is still from the first moment you arrive.
Larger text increases the type size across the whole site. Your browser's own zoom works too, and the layout has been tested at twice the normal size.
Both choices are remembered on your device.
The rest of it
Text and background colours meet the WCAG AA contrast standard, and that is measured rather than assumed. Every link and button is large enough to tap comfortably. You can use the whole site with a keyboard, and there is always a visible outline showing where you are. The site works with JavaScript turned off. There are no cookies, no tracking and no third-party scripts.
If something is not working for you
Tell me. I would rather know. Email me at info@colelightbaker.com and I will put it right.
